Short Essays on Woodturning, Craft, and Art

One of my responsibilities as the President of The Chesapeake Woodturners since 2017 has been to write a monthly column for the club's newsletter, The Final Cut. Many of these essays pertain to club matters and are, I believe, of little interest to anyone not a member of the club or otherwise directly involved in club activities. Many, however, are about topics of broader interest to woodturners and other makers as well as readers with a broad interest in the state of contemporary craft. These include essays about making, about learning and mastery, about pricing and other topics. The full set of essays is available on the website of The Chesapeake Woodturners (www.chesapeakewoodturners.com) where they can be found in the monthly editions of the newsletter that are all archived on the website.
